What's new with Cora and Nola

    ← Blog

Cora and Nola do more than reply with text now. Ask for a game, a quiz, or a dashboard and you get something you can play, take, or filter right in the chat, in a DM, team chat, or task thread. Nola can also check live prices, and both can run one action across a whole spreadsheet.

New to the pod? Start with Meet Cora and Meet Nola. Here's what's new.

    The short version

    • Playable games (Cora). Describe a game and Cora builds one you can play right in the chat.
    • Flashcards and quizzes (Cora and Nola). Study sets you flip through or take in chat, with a team leaderboard.
    • Interactive dashboards (Cora and Nola). KPI tiles, charts, tables, and filters built from your data or Nola's research.
    • Live prices (Nola). Flights, hotels, products, events, and trip ideas as result cards with current prices.
    • Bulk actions (Cora and Nola). Run one action across every row of a Google Sheet or CSV, with a check-in before anything big goes out.

Playable games, right in the chat

Ask Cora for a game and she builds one: a quick arcade game for a club social, a vocab matching game for review night, or a reaction-time challenge for the group chat. It shows up as a card with a Play button, and anyone in the conversation can play it.

Games run on phones and desktops, with touch, mouse, and keyboard controls, and they run inside a locked-down player that can't reach the internet or your account. Want it faster, harder, or a different color? Tap Edit on the card and describe the change.

Flashcards and quizzes you can actually take

Ask for flashcards or a practice quiz on any topic, or attach your notes or a reading, and Cora returns a study set you work through in the chat, not a wall of text. Flashcards let you mark each card Got it or Still learning. Quizzes are multiple choice with explanations, plus a practice round on the questions you missed.

In team chat, tasks, and the team wall, everyone takes the same set and a team leaderboard shows the best scores. In a DM, your progress stays private. Tap Edit to add cards, make it harder, or switch topics.

    Dashboards from your data

Paste a table or attach a spreadsheet and ask for a dashboard. Cora builds KPI tiles, bar, line, area, or pie charts, and tables, with filters you can click. The numbers are calculated live from the rows, so filtering actually changes the charts.

    Short video editing

Cora already made short clips. Now she edits them too: attach a clip, or reply to one she made, and ask for changes like a warmer look, slower pacing, or a new background.

    Nola the Know-it-All

    New with Nola

Live prices for flights, hotels, products, and events

Ask Nola to find flights, compare hotels, track down the best price on a product, or find events. Her answer comes with result cards showing current prices and details, so the group can compare options without leaving the thread. Not sure where to go? Ask for trip ideas and she'll suggest destinations with prices.

Prices come from live search at the moment you ask and can change, so double-check before you book.

    Research-backed flashcards and quizzes

Nola now makes the same interactive study sets as Cora, with one difference: when you name a topic without attaching material, she researches it on the web first and lists the sources under the set. It's a good fit for current events, a new unit, or anything your textbook doesn't cover well.

    Dashboards from real data

Ask Nola for a dashboard on a topic, like tuition trends, renewable energy by country, or a competitor scan, and she finds recent figures on the web, builds the charts, and links her sources. Attach your own spreadsheet and she'll work from that instead.

    New with both

Bulk actions with your connected tools

With Gmail, Outlook, Google Calendar, or other tools connected, Cora and Nola can now do the same thing for every row of a Google Sheet or an attached CSV. Send each sponsor a personalized email, create a calendar invite for every session, or share a file with a whole roster.

Before emailing more than 10 people, they show you a preview and wait for you to confirm in a new message. Large jobs keep running in the background and report back in the same chat when they're done.
